Fourteen people have been killed and 13 others seriously wounded after clashes break out at Lomirok and Sarma villages in Baragoi area at the Samburu Marsabit border.
According to area residents, the clashes began last evening.
Most residents have started to flee the area for fear of further attacks.
Reports from Kenya Red Cross indicate that eight people were killed at Lomirok Village while six were killed at Sarma Village.
The injured were taken to a local hospital where they are receiving treatment.
Area police commissioner Osman Warfa said police are carrying out operations in the area to avert further attacks.
