Bandari FC takes on Mathare United FC in a Kenya Premier League (KPL) match to be played at Mombasa County Stadium on Sunday.
The hosts are hotly favoured to emerge victors with the backing of their home supporters behind them.
Bandari FC spokesman, Ernest Mbalanya said they are looking nothing short of victory against Mathare for a win will see them jump up the ladder in the league standing to among the top six places.
Mbalanya said he was confident they will beat their opponents as his players are currently are in tip top form.
“I’m confident the way my players played against Chemelil Sugar last weekend at Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
“We are going to fight it out to make sure the match goes our way so as to improve our position in the league table,” said Mbalanya.
Mbalanya who is also the chairman of Bandari Fan Club (BFC) said the fans will have to pay Sh100 to watch the match for both main stand and ‘Russian’ side.
He appealed to football fans in Coast region to turn up in great numbers to cheer the team to victory.
“We have reduced the gate charges for our fans come out in great numbers,” he said.
Mbalanya said he was satisfied with the way the players performed in their last game and expressed hope they will put up a good show to collect maximum points.
“We have high hopes of our team winning against Mathare United on Sunday for our supporters to return home happily,” said Mbalanya.
During the match, Mbalanya reminded football fans in attendance to continue registering as members of Bandari Fan Club free of charge.
“We want many members to join us because there are no registration charges,” he said.
During the launch of the registering exercise of Bandari Fan Club members, 101 people registered when Bandari took on AFC Leopards two weeks ago at Mombasa County stadium.
