Those behind malicious Dan Botwe statement will ‘suffer’ – Nyaho Tamakloe

A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has vehemently denied claims  that he issued a statement in opposition to the possible appointment of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Okere, Dan Botwe, as the Campaign Manager of the NPP’s presidential candidate for the 2016 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo.

The ‘statement’ suggested that Nana Addo would be better suited appointing some one other than Mr. Botwe to serve in that capacity.

However, Dr. Tamakloe, speaking on Eyewitness News on Friday, denied ever issuing the statement, describing it as malicious. “I categorically deny having written any recommendations to Nana Akufo-Addo regarding the choice of a campaign manager or any political decision for that matter.

This story is mischievous and malicious and must be treated with the contempt that it deserves.” He added: “I have never been the one to run away from my own comments, never and this is a notorious fact. I was informed that the comment was received by e-mail. I have never communicated to the media by e-mail in my life and again that is a notorious fact. The e-mail account in question does not belong to me. My name is also spelt wrongly  in the article and I don’t post articles on social media.”

He added that he had not been in contact with either Nana Addo or Dan Botwe for a considerable period of time and had no intention of being part of the situation which he deemed “unnecessary.” “I have not seen Dan Botwe for almost 5 years now and I have not had any talks with Akufo-Addo for the past two years and I don’t want to be involved in this sort of unnecessary controversy.”

He issued a stern warning to the faceless persons who released the statement to cease their actions or be prepared to “suffer” “Whoever is doing this must stop or the person definitely will suffer in life,” he warned.
