Body Found Lashed to Cape Town Shark Net, Eyewitness News Says

A body was found lashed with cables to a mooring block keeping a net that keeps sharks away from Cape Town’s Fish Hoek beach, Eyewitness News reported, citing JP Smith, the city’s Mayoral Committee member for safety and security.

The man’s body was found at 10:20 a.m. and removed by police divers, the South African Press Association said, citing police. He was wearing swimming gear and was aged between 55 and 60, the Johannesburg-based news agency said.
