Cameron Diaz delivered touching toast to Benji Madden at wedding

Cameron Diaz gave a heartwarming speech to her new husband Benji Madden at their surprise wedding Monday evening in Beverly Hills.

According to the Daily Mail, the 42-year-old actress delivered a touching toast to her 35-year-old groom saying she didn’t want to settle with anyone else.

“I waited because I didn’t want to settle,” Diaz reportedly said during the couple’s wedding reception. “Now I got the best man ever. My special man. He’s mine.”

Diaz and Madden started dating last May and became engaged in December. They surprised fans with their marriage at their Beverly Hills home.

“We couldn’t be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends,” the couple said in a statement.

According to the Daily Mail, not everything at the ceremony was perfect. A source said that the lights flickered and went out for 10 seconds before Diaz made her bridal entrance.

“S***, f***, this is f***ed up. You’ve got to be f***ing kidding me!” the actress was reportedly heard saying.

The only other hiccup involved 5-year-old ring bearer Sparrow Madden, the son of Madden’s twin brother Joel and Nicole Richie.

“He dropped the ring and it rolled around. The audience began to chuckle,” an insider told MailOnline. “But as both brothers – groom Benji and best man Joel – got on their hands and knees looking for it, the guests broke out into full laughter.”

During the evening, three-time Grammy nominee Ryan Adams serenaded the pair. Then came four-time Grammy winner Lionel Richie, who performed his 1977 Commodores hit “Easy” on the piano.

Wedding guests included Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Withersppon, Samantha Ronson, Judd Apatow, Christina Applegate, Wiz Khalifa, and Constance Leto.
