A fourth year university student has been killed by her boyfriend using a kitchen knife.
The student was allegedly killed on Saturday by her boyfriend who stabbed her several times using a knife after a quarrel.
According to police reports, the deceased was a fourth year at Egerton University and lived with the man in a rented cubicle outside the institution at a small shopping centre known as Njokeria.
Witnesses said, screams of rescue by the deceased brought the sleepy village into a storm.
Neighbors said they rushed to the scene but the woman was brutally stabbed and could not survive.
“The stabbed her and tried to commit suicide by burning himself in the house which had been locked from the inside,” a resident said. Angry villagers pounced on the man.
Police said thorough investigations will be done.
