Congolese superstar Ferre Gola to perform in Kenya

CONGOLESE singing sensation Férré Gola will make his debut Kenyan performance at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi on November 7.

Gola, who was spotted by legendary musician Werrason Wenge Musica, is famous for songs like Kamasutra and Boite noire. He is considered the leading musician of his generation.

He has worked with Wenge Mother House as well as Bill Clinton Kalonji and Koffi Olomide before going solo. Gola released his first solo album called Sens banned in December 2006 and has 12 albums to date.

On his Nairobi show, he promises to give a great performance.

“Since the days of Koffi Olomide and Zaiko Langa Langa, Kenyans have had a strong yearning for Lingala music that has not been met,” he said. “I want to show Kenyans that we in Congo are still with them.
