While appearing before the Parliamentary Justice and Legal Affairs Committee, Matemu added that they have already forwarded the files to the Director of Public Prosecution.

Matemu intimated that they have been investigating 15 individuals over the multi-billion shilling scam but he has not divulged how many suspects are to be charged.

Matemu was accompanied by other EACC commissioners and officials to update the parliamentary committee on the commission’s progress in the fight against corruption in the country.

Matemu was also put to task by the committee over alleged poor performance by the Anti graft body.

Last year the EACC Chair had indicated that the commission was yet to finalize on pending mega corruption cases like Anglo leasing, and land grabbing scams.
