ECZ gets K4m from Sweden for polls

THE Swedish Government has given the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) 600,000 euros, equivalent to K4 million to help meet the cost of the forthcoming January 20, presidential election. Embassy of Sweden in Lusaka head of bilateral development co-operation David Wiking explained that this follows a request from the Commission for financial help to fund some of the activities of the ECZ during the forth-coming presidential election.  And Swedish ambassador to Zambia Lena Nordstrom emphasised the need for Zambia to continue being transparent to attract more support from the international community
