iPhone attack! Apple virus spreads

An all-new phishing attack is targeting all Apple gadgets running the iOS 7 or 8 operating systems. The attacks attempt to trick victims into downloading malware known as XAgent.

What’s scary about this attack is the fact that Trend Micro, the security company who uncovered the malware, believes that XAgent is part of Operation Pawnstorm.

According to Trend Micro, Operation Pawnstorm is the company’s name for a group of Russian hackers who have targeted employees of defense contractors and government agencies in the past.

The newest weapon created for Operation Pawnstorm is XAgent, an app that secretly uploads all of your contacts, pictures, text messages and personal information to the hacker’s server.
