James Middleton is best known for being Duchess Catherine’s youngest sibling, but being related to the future Queen isn’t what it’s cracked up to be!
The youngest Middleton revealed to digital magazine TYD that it gets annoying when all anyone asks you about is your sister…
“Yes, it does get frustrating,” James admitted.
“I work incredibly hard – just like every other person in business and work and aside from the fact that yes, I am the brother of someone very important, I am, at the end of the day, just James.”
James is the youngest of Carole and Michael Middleton’s three children, with Catherine the eldest and Pippa in the middle.
James opened up about the fact that he that he suffers from dyslexia and the subsequent difficulties he faced during his environmental resources management course at Edinburgh University, leading him to drop out after only a year.
“Firstly, I wasn’t confident in the pursuit of getting my degree,” said James.
“Secondly, I already knew that I wanted to work for myself and have my own business. I have only ever employed myself.”
As an adult, James said, his dyslexia is now one of his “strong points”.
“For one, it makes you unique,” he said.
“And two, your brain works differently. You’ll get to the solution but just in a different, maybe unconventional way.”
He also discussed his business ventures, saying he “used the stepping stones within the family business” – Party Pieces – to kickstart his first venture, The Cake Kit Company.
Unfortunately for the youngest Middleton, the company was not the success he was hoping for.

James has previously spoken out to defend his brand’s losses, telling Mail Online, “Nice Group is a start-up company and as you can imagine there are overheads needed to start a company.
“It’s not uncommon for start-up companies to make a loss in the early stages of development and it’s not something I’m concerned with right now.”
James has since bounced back and co-founded Boomf, a site that allows Instagram users to put their pictures on marshmallows (which we think is bound to be a hit, especially with the Kardashians!)
No matter what hardships come from being Duchess Catherine’s younger brother, there are definite perks. James adores being Prince George’s uncle, revealing to Good Morning America he wants to be Prince George’s “fun uncle”, though he may have some competition with Prince Harry!
“I still see Prince George as my nephew and I just want to be the best uncle possible,” he said.
“Like any uncle wants to be, I want to be the cool uncle. The fun uncle! That’s what sort of I’ll always try and be.”
James showed off his fun side by revealing Leonardo DiCaprio should play him in a movie.
“I would want Leonardo to play me because I believe in his acting mastery,” he said.
“The guy is a genius and he’d make me look fantastic.”
