A Kaizer Chiefs player, George Lebese, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Gauteng police said on Tuesday.
“The incident happened on Sunday in Silverton, Pretoria, where he allegedly assaulted the girlfriend and damaged her vehicle,” Lieutenant Kay Makhubela said.
Kaizer Chiefs’ official website confirmed the news.
The 26-year-old was arrested on Tuesday. He is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of assault and damage to property.
