Kenya under pressure

The pressure is now piling on head coach Paul Treu and Kenya Rugby Union after the side once again fell to Canada in the Shield final at Dubai Sevens last weekend.

Reports and pressure through social media began almost immediately after the Dubai Sevens from fans of Kenya Sevens who are famously tough on their coaches and demanding performances.

Seeking to improve after going down to the same opponents also in the Shield Final of the Gold Coast 7s in Australia, Kenya’s performance saw the team register only a single victory in six matches in the desert sun.

Meanwhile, the South Africa 7s gets underway tomorrow, Fiji takes on France at 9.30pm and Canada at 12.46am on Sunday in its pool matches.

The last pool match against Scotland is at 6.26am.
