KUPPET Calls Off Post Primary Teachers’ Strike

The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers –KUPPET has officially announced the national strike by teachers under the union has been called off

KUPPET secretary general Akello Misori has now directed union members to return to class from Monday and resume normal duties.

This is a after the Industrial Court ordered the nationwide teachers strike be called off as the court leads pay talks between teachers unions KNUT and KUPPET on one side and government on the other.

Speaking in Nairobi, Misori has also urged government to drop cases against some teachers under kuppet who were arrested in Bungoma, Vihiga and Laikipia during the strike.
