Malaria Cases Drop

The number of malaria-related deaths in the world has fallen drastically in the last decade, with the mortality rate dropping by 47% worldwide and by 54% in Africa between the years of 2000 and 2013. The statistics from the world health organisation’s world malaria report indicate significant progress in the battle against the parasitic disease especially in africa where 90% of malaria deaths occur, a majority of whom are children under the under 5 years.
