Celebrities headlined the launch of a sports application called mCheza at the Impala grounds, recently. It is a simple, fun and interactive platform on which fans can put their money on football games across 277 leagues globally.
The guests were treated to some scintillating tunes from award-winning performing artistes such as Nameless and Mr Lenny, and thereafter, DJ Joe Mfalme kept them on their feet.
The chief guest CS for Sports Dr Hassan Wario commended the various corporate organisations that have supported the growth of sports in the country, and urged for collective efforts in the growth of sports.
“It is well worth noting that corporate social responsibility is important and I would like to commend the mCHEZA team for showing initiative and supporting us in growing talented youth,” said Dr Wario.
mCHEZA CEO Peter Karimi noted that the partnership with Intralot will invest 15 Million USD across East Africa over the next three years to raise the profile and impact of sports gaming in the region.
He added that mCHEZA will scout for and uplift Kenya’s highly talented but less fortunate footballers at county level. They are also looking to sponsor national teams in various sports fields.
