The Barcelona players are having some fun before their visit to Manchester England for their Champions League fixture. Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique was photoed in a Barcelona casino with Chelsea’s midfielder and ex-team-mate, Cesc Fabregas.
Fabregas travelled to Spain to join the fun with his friends before their big game. After a night of spending and having fun, Messi and Pique linked up with the rest of the Barcelona squad for their trip to Manchester.
The squad were met by fans on arrival in Manchester, where they signed autographs and had their photographs taken.
Barca looks to have a repeat of last season where they knocked out Manchester City out of the competition.
Man City’s, Samir Nasri gave his take on last season fixture compare to this season: “I think we respected them too much. But we weren’t experienced enough to compete with a club like this.”
“They know how to win a Champions League. I think it was too much of a big game. We were not ready. This year is totally different. We know what we are capable of.”
“We want to beat Barcelona because we want to go as far as possible in the Champions League, not because we want revenge.”
“For us it is a different game. We are a better team than last year. We had a couple of players injured [last time the two clubs met]. Everything will be different. We have more experience than last year.”
