Phil Spencer, the ‘boss’ at XBOX has off late risen to a prominent role in Microsoft.
The man has been known to be one of the top decision makers in the organization and has been given a freehand control over everything related to the XBOX.
Phil Spencer’s latest statements suggest that the next move from the company is to focus gaming on Windows.
With the onset of Windows 10, the scenario has changed and the developers will now be focusing on windows based games.
Phil will soon be demonstrating how the PC is ‘incredibly important’ when it comes to the world of gaming.
“I thought the Windows 10 announce was good. I’ve said gaming on PC is incredibly important to me and I think incredibly important to this company,” he said.
Windows 10 – ever since its announcement has been billed as a ‘one platform’ device where the major effort is to combine all the different windows based operating systems and services together.
The windows OS in itself, along with the windows phone, the surface pro devices, and the consoles of XBOX – everything should have a similar and common layout, in a manner that all the users get a similar experience and pretty much the same look and feel.
The company will also be working towards the One Drive and working further on that concept where they will take cloud computing to the next level. Microsoft has always been a firm that has been ahead of their times and have come out with innovative products.
“We took gaming very seriously on Windows a while ago,” he said at the time. “I’ll say we, during the [release of the Xbox], we were kind of distributed in what we were thinking about as we were launching Xbox.
I’m really committed to us getting back to supporting both Xbox as much as we ever have, and also PC.
Because I know my friends and the customers out there that are great gamers on Xbox are also, a lot of them, are great gamers on PC.
And I want to make sure that we’re able to offer them the best experience across all the platforms.”
It is now interesting to see where the company is heading towards and he has said that the company needs to do more to cater to the needs of the PC gamers.
