ODM’s Moses Otieno Kajwang is the newest member of the senate, after his resounding victory in the Homabay senatorial contest.
Kajwang whitewashed his seven opponents, including two who quit ODM in protest after he was handed the orange ticket through a direct nomination. but Kajwang’s victory was even sweeter for opposition chief Raila Odinga, who has recently come under a barrage of attack from some ODM members, who accuse him of being dictatorial, raising questions on his influence in the vote rich south Nyanza region.
