HE General Idriss Déby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad, has arrived in Accra for a day’s working visit.
His visit is a follow-up to last month’s meeting between President Mahama and two leaders from the Central Africa bloc, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea and President Dennis Sassou-N’Guesso of Congo on the fight against Boko Haram.
President Déby who is also the Chairperson of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) will discuss with President Mahama the hosting of a joint-ECOWAS- ECCAS Heads of State & Government Meeting on Boko Haram.
The two countries, Ghana and Chad, will also use today’s working visit to hold bilateral discussions on areas of mutual cooperation.
