Queen Bey is the most searched female star on Google!

Los Angeles – Beyoncé is the most searched for female star on Google in the UK this year.

The XO singer has come under the spotlight over the last 12 months, with rumours suggesting that her marriage to hip-hop superstar Jay Z was on the rocks after he was seen clashing with Solange Knowles – Beyoncé’s younger sister – in an elevator.

What’s more, the 33-year-old beauty released a full platinum edition of her fifth studio album Beyoncé, while she and Jay Z also embarked on their On The Run tour.

Elsewhere, Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence was the second most searched for female on Google, having been among the victims of the photo hacking scandal earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran topped the list of male celebrities, with Jay Z having to settle for second place.
