Sadat’s Sh200,000 video for artiste with rare condition

Maliza Umaskini director Sadat Muhindi has paid Sh200,000 for a music video for up-and-coming gospel artiste Sammy Brayo.

He says that Brayo’s unique and sheer talent and determination “moved” him into volunteering to sponsor the project.

The inspirational rapper, who was born with a rare condition, has no hands and relies on just one leg for his mobility, as his right leg was also affected by the congenital deformity.

“I have seen Sammy here live in performance and I have been so moved. He has a unique talent that requires support,” the philanthropist said while giving the cheque to the artiste during the Malaika Tribute Awards held late last week in Nairobi.

Brayo is currently getting great media reviews for his new collaboration track with TV personality-cum gospel singer Faith Muturi titled Tangaza.

Record house, Mainswitch Records, has already agreed to do an audio track for the rapper.
