Sami Aslam takes Pakistan A to convincing win against Kenya

LAHORE: Pakistan A beat Kenya by 9 wickets in the first ODI if the 5-match series at the Qaddafi Stadium.

Winning the toss and putting Kenya in to bat, Pakistan A restricted their opponents to a mere 167. Kenya were dismissed in the 39th over.Left arm spinner Raza Hasan was the pick of the Pakistan A bowlers as he dismissed 4 batsmen giving away only 20 runs. Mohammad Talha also sent back 4 batsmen for 32 runs. Talented Leg spinner Shahzaib Ahmed took 2-42.

Gurdeep Singh and NM Odhiambo were they only Kenyan batsmen to tackle the Pakistan A bowling attack with some confidence scoring 55 and 44 runs respectively. In reply Pakistan A raced to victory in the 29th over losing one wicket in the process. Former U-19 captain Sami Aslam scored a brilliant unbeaten 101 off 122 balls with 11 fours and a six. He was well supported by Fazal Subhan who remained unbeaten on 56.

M.Talha was later declared player of the match.

The 2nd ODI of the series will be played at the same venue on 15th December
