Contrary to reports in some online media yesterday that Second Republic President Shehu Usman Shagari had passed on, it has been confirmed by his personal assistant, Dr. Atiku Nuhu Koko, that he is alive.
Koko is also the head of the Shehu Shagari Foundation. Alhaji Shagari celebrated his 90th birthday on February 25, 2015 with all the former heads of states in attendance in Sokoto .
