Musician Wahu Kagwe has denied claims by socialite Huddah Monroe that she once looked down on her.

Huddah accused the Ni Yeye singer of belittling her when she was in a dance group with some of the members from Uganda during an interview with Kiss FM’s Jeff Mote and Chipukeezy.

“Wahu used to say I was not a good dancer and that I couldn’t dance for her because she thought I wasn’t qualified,” she said.

Wahu, however, says that she doesn’t remember meeting Huddah.

“I knew Huddah through my dancers as she was their friend, but I don’t recall discussing such a thing with her,” Wahu told Heads Up.

Wahu says that Huddah’s interview actually shocked her because it is not in her nature to look down on people.

“People hire when they are in need, but I really love my dancers, having worked with them for 10 years. In fact, if I need to hire, I get the dancers to recommend someone. If I think someone is good, I actually recommend them to other artistes,” she said.
