Sofapaka bundled out of GOTV Shield tournament

Defending champions Sofapaka were bundled out of the GOTV Shield tournament after losing to Administration Police.

The match ended one all before the holders were eliminated 4-2 on post match penalties.

There were wins however for league champions Gor Mahia and Tusker FC.

Tusker FC thrashed GFE-105 5-0 to cruise through to the next round. Kevin Kimani and an own goal from Eli Otieno handed the Brewers a 2-0 advantage at half time.

And with Tusker ahead in the second half and dominating possession, the goals came and kept on coming through Jesse Were.

Premier League Champions Gor Mahia made clear their intentions of lifting a second title this season despite struggling against Ushuru FC.

Gor Mahia took the lead early in the match through Collins Okoth but found themselves back where they started three minutes later when Mohammed Hassan leveled for the Tax men.

Medie Kagere ensured that Kogalo went to the break 2-1 ahead.

Two more goals were scored in the second half, the match ending 3-2, Gor Mahia cruising through as Ushuru departed.

Holders Sofapaka struggled against Administration Police playing to a one all draw in normal time before they were sent parking after a 4-2 penalty shoot-out loss.
