Two people have been found dead while three are still missing after a wheat silo collapsed in Industrial Area, Nairobi on Wednesday evening.
Three were rescued on Thursday morning and taken to Kenyatta National Hospital, the Kenya Red Cross Society said via Twitter.
The silo belonging to Golden and Mandhir Company collapsed at about 4pm trapping the eight. KRCS said the rescue efforts are ongoing.
Company director Aneez Lalji said the three who were injured were treated and discharged.
Police said one of four remaining silos along Mogadishu Road appeared damaged.
Shovels were being used in the operation at the location being manned by police.
