CONTROVERSIAL Tanzanian actress and former beauty queen, Wema Sepetu, was almost locked out of Z-Lounge Club in Nyali, Mombasa, on Saturday.
Wema was accompanied by her eight-person entourage including popular movie actress Aunt Ezekiel and right-hand man Petit.
The bouncers at the club’s gate got distressed after realising that Wema was in the company of a lady who has been put on the “blacklist” at several popular clubs in Mombasa over misconduct allegations.
Wema and her companions engaged the security personnel in a squabble which lasted for almost one hour. They argued over the Sh1,000 gate entrance fee, before they were allowed in without paying a cent, minus the “banned” lady.
“We receive a lot of celebrities here and it’s hard for us to know who is in and who is not. We wish Wema had communicated earlier so that we could plan accordingly,” said the club’s owner Anandi Majithia.
