Who Told You Kenyan Athletes Are Academically Challenged? Here Are The Most Educated Footballers In Kenya

Many Kenyans know Dr. Dan Shikanda, Dr. JJ Masiga and Dr. William Obwaka as the only footballers who managed to balance between books and football and earned great achievements in the world of academia.

However, there are a number of footballers in the country today who are doing great in academics despite their engagements in football that is so demanding for others.

The Kenyan premier league has produced footballers who are determined to make it big in the world of academics. They include:

Bernard Mang’oli: The AFC Leopards midfielder is a fourth year student in Kenyatta University where he takes a Bachelor of environmental Studies, Community Development option.

Paul Mungai Kiongera: He plays for Tanzania’s Simba SC as a midfielder. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kenyatta University.

Erick Masika: The former AFC Leopards defender is a third year student in the Catholic University of East Africa where he studies A Bachelor of Commerce, Finance and banking option.

Allan Wanga: The Al Merreikh striker has a diploma in Business administration from Kisumu Polytechnic.

Ismael Emuge: The Ugandan and Gor Mahia defendr has a Bachelor of Public Administration and Management from Nkumba University in Uganda.

Dennis Mukaisi: The Homeboyz striker has a Bachelor of Education from Masinde Muliro University.

Brian Osumba: the Tusker FC midfielder has a Bachelor of Economics (CPA Level 4) from the University of Nairobi and Strathmore University.
