Cristiano Ronaldo fuels speculation of a move to Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo has fuelled speculation he may leave Real Madrid for a return to Manchester United.

The Portuguese superstar continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford, and has admitted he doesn’t know what his future holds.

Despite starting the season in typically incredible form in the Spanish capital, Ronaldo insists he needs to do ‘what makes him happy’.

He told news agency Efe: “At this moment, I’m happy playing for Real Madrid but I don’t know what will happen in my future. “I must choose the way that makes me happy.”

The news comes after Ronaldo’s close friend and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo said he believes the former Red Devils star will return to the Premier League in the future.

He told talkSPORT: “He is very happy at Real Madrid and he loves English football, he loves English people and deep down I think he will come back to England.

“He doesn’t look like he wants to finish his career without coming back to England.

“He said he would wish Real Madrid is in England, but that is not possible so I believe he will end his career in English football.”
