Sauti Sol with Anne Joy Muhoro of EABL
Sensational music group Sauti Sol has landed yet another big-money deal.
The multi-award winning Afro-pop quartet has entered into partnership with one of EABL’s newest vodka brands Chrome, in a deal believed to be worth loads of cash. The arrangement, formalised on Tuesday in Nairobi, sees the group assume the role of brand ambassadors to drive its Dream Big, Be Bigger” #ShineOn marketing campaign.
“We are pleased to sign this deal with Chrome vodka and we only hope that this is the start of a very long journey together. We promise a thrill for our fans, which will be spread to every corner of this country, thanks to Chrome,” said the group during the press conference.
How much is this deal worth?
“A lot of money. Lots of it!” the group told Word Is without divulging details.
Chrome becomes the official sponsor of the band’s Live and Die in Afrika national tour, which, according to the band’s manager Marek Fuchs, will commence in late April or early May.
The tour will see the group stage live performances in Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, Machakos and Mombasa to popularise their latest studio album, which went platinum within 37 hours of its launch in Valentine’s Day Eve.
Live and Die in Afrika (the single) was added in BBC Africa’s Top 10 tracks of 2015, while Sauti Sol were listed as Billboard Africa’s Most Promising Group.
